As you may know, Coronavirus has been spreading throughout the whole world as a Pandemic. So first of all, what is a pandemic? A pandemic is a virus that spreads quickly through all over the world. Currently, the Coronavirus is highly contagious virus that is passed down from person to person by physical contact or touching contaminated objects. The symptoms of this virus are very similar to pneumonia, also known as the flu. But, there are some differences that make this disease even deadlier.
This disease does NOT have a vaccine or cure whatsoever, so if you manage to somehow obtain this virus, there is no way to eliminate it. The virus is highly dangerous to those who are elder and have disabilities or inconveniences such as diabetes, obesity, etc. This next piece of information might not be a BIG problem but it does affect us in everyday life. Companies and businesses have shut down because of this outbreak. Right now, stores such as Apple, Walmart, Target, etc. Aren’t open because they don’t want to have the risk of having an employee infected and spreading it around with their coworkers resulting in unemployment after the outbreak has passed. In order to stop that from happening, they decided to close the stores temporarily until the outbreak has drifted away and return to their normal state.
We have all heard by now that schools have been closed for an extended period of time because of the continuous quick spread of the virus. To avoid students from not learning, schools are continuing school via online. The problem with this is that this form of learning has not matured and it’s not as interactive as sitting in a classroom. Some programs or apps don’t have a friendly layout, as a result it can be confusing to go around and finish assignments if you don’t know were to go. I understand that the district has made an investment to improve online learning but there are students who think that they’re in break and therefore don’t care or are to lazy to do assignments at all. That’s why I think school should return to its normal state as soon as possible.
